A BRILLIANT NIGHT AT OUR BIG PURPLE PANTS BLACK-TIE EVENT

On Friday 19th September, we hosted our Big Purple Pants black-tie evening at the Roslin Beach Hotel – and honestly, it was one of those nights you wish you could bottle.
We had over 70 guests join us, and from the moment people arrived, it just worked. The right mix of people, the right energy, and everyone there for the same reason.

A FULL ROOM AND A PROPER DANCE FLOOR
We had live music from Old Hat, starting with a swing set and moving into party classics as the night went on.
The dance floor filled up quickly and stayed that way. No awkward gaps, no coaxing people up – just a really good atmosphere where people felt comfortable, let their hair down, and got involved.
£2,100+ RAISED ON THE NIGHT
Between the raffle and donations, we raised over £2,100.
That goes straight back into supporting people living with secondary breast cancer in the Southend and wider Essex area. That’s the whole point of these evenings – raising funds, yes, but also keeping the charity visible and supported locally.
THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS
We couldn’t do this without the businesses who support us.
A big thank you to:
Their support helps us create events that people actually want to come to – which in turn means better engagement, stronger awareness, and more funds raised.
WHY NIGHTS LIKE THIS MATTER
It’s easy to focus on the total (and £2,100 is a brilliant result), but what really stood out was how engaged everyone was.
People stayed, people danced, people donated, people talked about the charity. That’s what makes the difference long-term – not just one night, but the ripple effect afterwards.
WANT TO GET INVOLVED?
We’ve got more events planned, and we’re always open to working with people who want to support Big Purple Pants.
