A RUN THAT INSPIRED MORE

Sometimes it’s not just the event itself, but what it inspires afterwards.
Recently, Libby Hearn took on the London Marathon, raising an incredible £1,416.50 for cancer research.
For Leslie, one of our members, this hit close to home. Watching a close friend take on something so physically and mentally challenging – all for a cause connected to cancer – was something she felt hugely proud of.

TURNING INSPIRATION INTO ACTION
Rather than leaving it there, Leslie decided to do something herself.
Inspired by Libby’s marathon run, she raised £1,000 from friends and family and chose to donate it to Big Purple Pants.
It’s a simple but powerful reminder of how one action can lead to another.

WHY THIS MATTERS
At Big Purple Pants, we see this often.
Someone does something amazing. Someone else feels inspired. And that turns into more awareness, more conversations, and more support for people living with secondary breast cancer.
We’re incredibly thankful to Libby for taking on the marathon, and to Leslie for turning that moment into something more.
