We are incredibly proud to announce that Big Purple Pants has officially been granted charity status – Registered Charity No. 1213685.
What began as a small but passionate support group has now grown into a recognised charity, a testament to the strength, vision, and dedication of our community.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for us, but it’s not just about the recognition. It’s about the lives we’ve touched and the many more we can now support. As a registered charity, we are able to expand our services, grow our support network, and offer even more resources to those living with secondary breast cancer in Essex.
This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible commitment of our trustees: Claire, Sara, Jenny, Holly, and Malachy. We also honour and remember our beloved Carole Sims and Toby Speller, trustees from the very beginning, who are sadly no longer with us. Their passion and care helped shape the heart of Big Purple Pants, and their legacy continues to inspire everything we do.
With charity status, we now have the ability to fundraise on a larger scale, ensuring that our vital work can continue for years to come. We can now bring more support, more resources, and more events to our members – helping women facing this journey not only survive, but thrive.
If you’d like to help us on this journey, donations can be made through our support us page. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a real difference to our work and the lives of those we support.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been part of this journey so far. Your unwavering support has made this possible. Here’s to the next chapter for Big Purple Pants – growing with purpose, compassion, and a whole lot of heart.
Thank you for being a part of our story. Together, we are stronger.
